Primary glucocorticoid resistance is characterized by decreased sensitivity to cortisol signalling. We have performed genetic analysis of the glucocorticoid receptor (GR) gene in 12 unrelated patients with primary cortisol resistance as defined by a pathological dexamethasone suppression test.
