Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) is an accepted therapy for acute respiratory failure but more recently has been used in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and superimposed acute pulmonary insults. The purpose of this study was to review the outcomes of such infants.
