T-2 toxin administered ip to mice at 1.0 and 1.5 mg/kg caused significant maternal mortality and decreased prenatal survival. Fetal weights were reduced on days 7, 10, and 11. Gross malformations involved the tail and limbs, exencephaly, open eye and retarded jaw development particularly in fetuses from females treated on days 9, 10, and 11. Ribs and vertebral malformations were seen in fetuses exposed on days 9 and 10.
