The use of central venous catheter for administration of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) is a risk factor of catheter-related infections (CRIs) that are associated with increased morbidity and mortality, prolonged hospitalization, and increased medical costs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the risk factors of CRIs in patients with administration of TPN.
