Fibronectin (FN) acts in many fundamental biological processes including cell adhesion, migration, proliferation and apoptosis. Although FN shows an ubiquitous expression pattern, alternative mRNA splicing modulates tissue-specific molecular heterogeneity at three regions: extra domain-B, extra domain-A and variable region.
