In less than three years, The McFarland Institute has grown from the equivalent of a single hospital department to a school of pastoral care and counseling serving over 100 students and 18 different institutions. It remains to be seen whether the community will support the education and service provided through grants and donations. If additional funding is secured, there are unlimited opportunities for learning and service in New Orleans and in the surrounding region.
