Many patients with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) have neurally mediated hypotension when subjected to head-up tilt, suggesting autonomic nervous system dysfunction. Some Gulf War veterans have symptoms similar to CFS. Whether they also tend to have neurally mediated hypotension is unknown.
