Intravenous thymoglobuline (125 mg a day for 3 days, Institut Mérieux, France) has been used to induce immunosuppression following heart transplantation. Cyclosporine and prednisone, with and without azathioprine or mycophenolate mofetil were used as maintenance immunosuppression.
