The effect of increased intracranial pressure (ICP) on cerebral venous blood flow has been the subject of very few clinical and experimental studies. The authors assessed the usefulness of venous transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasonography as a noninvasive monitoring tool for predicting raised ICP.
