These are extensive excerpts from "The World Students' Congress" The Interne, Vol. XIII, No. 2 (February 1947), pp. 80-85 and "The International Union of Students," The Interne, Vol. XIII, No. 3 (March 1947), pp. 132-139. Bernard Lown, at the time covered by this report, had just finished an internship at Yale. As many H&M readers know, he was a founder of Physicians for Social Responsibility in 1961 and is the co-president of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.
