It was demonstrated that the nonvirulent strain of Listeria monocytogenes isolated from vegetable matter prolonged significantly the survival time of mice inoculated with murine virus erythroleukemia. The most significant survival time was recorded when live listeriae were administered on the same day but into another site than the leukemia virus was.
