Ubiquitination of IKBA by BTRC2.1) Beta-TrCP2, like Beta-TrCP1, was associated with pIkB-alpha and that overexpression of beta-TrCP1 and beta-TrCP2 individually augmented the ubiquitination of pIkB-alpha induced by tumor necrosis factor-alpha.2) Beta-TrCP2 participates in the ubiquitination-dependent destruction of IkB-alpha by forming SCF-betaTrCP2-betaTrCP2 ubiquitin-ligase complexes. 3) F-box deletion mutants of beta-TrCP1 and -2 prevented the ubiquitination and the subsequent degradation of pIkB-alpha.
