arabinitol transport

The directed movement of arabitol into, out of or within a cell, or between cells, by means of some agent such as a transporter or pore. Arabitol is the pentitol derived from arabinose or lyxose by reduction of the aldehyde group. The D enantiomer is present in lichens and mushrooms.
