NCI: Human ARPP-21 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 3p22.3 and is approximately 152 kb in length. This allele, which encodes cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein 21, may be involved in the modulation of signal transduction. Genetic variation may be associated with the relapse of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
