UMD: Absorbent/cotton swabs designed for vaginal procedures. These swabs typically consist of a sterilized wad of absorbent material that can absorb sufficient solution (e.g., prepping solution) for vaginal procedures attached to a 20 to 25 cm (8 to 10 in) long wood or plastic stick. Vaginal swabs are used mainly in therapeutic abortions, curettage, and similar procedures.
