NCI: Human NEURL wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 10q25.1 and is approximately 98 kb in length. This allele, which encodes neuralized-like protein 1, plays a role in the regulation of proteosome-mediated protein degradation. The NEURL gene exhibits loss of heterozygosity in astrocytomas.
