NCI: Molecular biology technique that facilitates cloning or identification of specific proteins or peptides with a specific antigenic, ligand or protein-binding, enzymatic, or other biological property. It is based on the cloning of DNA within a phage coat protein gene so that the resulting protein is expressed as a fusion expressed on the surface of the phage.,CSP: an in vitro selection technique that enables polypeptides with desired properties to be extracted from a large collection of variants; used to provide a direct physical link between phenotype and genotype by utilizing the ability to display peptides and proteins on the surface of bacteriophage particles; an in vitro selection techique that enables polypeptides with desired properties to be extracted from a large collection of variants.
