This lagomorph also has pink eye color with genotype np. Like most rabbit breeds, the California rabbit is predisposed to developing cancer, especially uterine adenocarcinoma as well as lymphomas, sarcomas, and other carcinomas. This breed also develops respiratory disorders and cardiac disease.
