NCI: A species of aerobic, Gram negative, rod shaped bacterium assigned to the phylum Proteobacteria. This species is motile by polar or bi-polar tufts of flagella, does not hydrolyze esculin, indole negative and oxidase and catalase positive. D. acidovorans is found in soil and water and has been shown to be pathogenic in immunocompromised individuals.,NCI: Any bacterial organism that can be assigned to the species Delftia acidovorans.,MSH: A species of gram-negative rod-shaped bacteria found ubiquitously and formerly called Comamonas acidovorans and Pseudomonas acidovorans. It is the type species of the genus DELFTIA.
