MSH: A PROTEIN-TYROSINE KINASE family that was originally identified by homology to the Rous sarcoma virus ONCOGENE PROTEIN PP60(V-SRC). They interact with a variety of cell-surface receptors and participate in intracellular signal transduction pathways. Oncogenic forms of src-family kinases can occur through altered regulation or expression of the endogenous protein and by virally encoded src (v-src) genes.,NCI: Family of non-receptor protein-tyrosine kinases homologous to src. They are closely related intracellular enzymes that participate in signal transduction pathways in a variety of hemopoietic cells and especially their surface receptors. EC 2.7.1.-.,NCI: The SRC family tyrosine kinases are a class of non-receptor protein-tyrosine kinases that exhibit amino acid sequence similarity with SRC and participate in signal transduction pathways in a variety of hematopoietic cells.
