Structure of ciliary ganglion

CSP: parasympathetic ganglion of the oculomotor nerve, located in the posterior part of the orbit between the lateral rectus muscle and the optic nerve; receives preganglionic fibers from the Edinger-Westphal (accessory oculomotor) nucleus of the oculomotor nerve and supplies postganglionic fibers for the ciliary muscle and for the constrictor muscle of the iris.
