Germ cell tumor

NCI: A type of tumor that begins in the cells that give rise to sperm or eggs. Germ cell tumors can occur almost anywhere in the body and can be either benign or malignant.,CSP: neoplasms composed of primordial germ cells of gonads or of elements of the germ layers of the embryo.,NCI: A benign or malignant, gonadal or extragonadal neoplasm that originates from germ cells. Representative examples include teratoma, seminoma, embryonal carcinoma, and yolk sac tumor.
