UMD: Springs that are fashioned by the surgeon from orthodontic wire that are implanted under the eyelid in patients with paralytic lagophthalmos. These devices are not commercially available and were custom made by the authors (see Health Devices Alerts Implants Accession No. M2284 dated April 10, 1992).
