SPN: A radiation therapy simulation system is a fluoroscopic or radiographic X-ray system intended for use in localizing the volume to be exposed during radiation therapy and confirming the position and size of the therapeutic irradiation field produced. This generic type of device may include signal analysis and display equipment, patient and equipment supports, treatment planning computer programs, component parts, and accessories.,UMD: Systems designed to replicate the motions and beam-positioning ability of specific radiotherapy units (e.g., cobalt units, linear accelerators). These systems perform radiotherapy simulation and establish the area to be treated using either a radiographic/fluoroscopic device with imaging capabilities or a computed tomography scanner. Radiotherapy simulation systems are used in radiotherapy planning to define the region of the actual tumor and the surrounding tissues that are considered to be at risk (i.e., the tumor volume) and to develop a treatment technique to deliver a h
