UMD: Kits designed to obtain an endometrial linen sample. These kits may include an aspirator (either plastic or stainless steel) or other type of device to obtain the sample (e.g., a swab, a helical sampler) from the endometrium, a specimen collector, a slide, appropriate tools to prepare the smear, and solutions to preserve the sample during transportation to the clinical laboratory. Endometrial sampling kits are intended to obtain and prepare Papanicolaou smears in healthcare facilities (e.g., hospitals, doctor offices) and in the field.
