UMD: Dental materials intended for in situ temporary or permanent restoration of dental prostheses. These materials may consist of metallic, porcelain, or, more frequently, polymeric (typically acrylic resins such as methyl methacrylate) compounds or a combination of such compounds. They are used to repair fixed prosthodontics, such as artificial teeth and crowns.
