NCI: TFIIH basal transcription factor complex helicase XPD subunit (760 aa, ~87 kDa) is encoded by the human ERCC2 gene. This protein plays a role in DNA helicase activity, RNA polymerase II-mediated transcription and nucleotide excision repair.,MSH: A DNA helicase that is a component of TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR TFIIH. It plays an essential role in NUCLEOTIDE EXCISION REPAIR, and mutations in this protein are associated with XERODERMA PIGMENTOSUM.
