Benign neoplasm of pineal gland

NCI: A benign growth of the cells that comprise the pineal gland. Despite benign histology, symptoms can be produced due to the location: increased intracranial pressure, endocrine abnormalities, cerebellar and/or brainstem compression. The latter can produce a constellation of symptoms known as Parinaud's syndrome.
