MSH: A myelin protein found in the periaxonal membrane of both the central and peripheral nervous systems myelin sheaths. It binds to cells surface receptors found on AXONS and may regulate cellular interactions between MYELIN and AXONS.,CSP: family of heavily glycosylated, NCAM-like membrane proteins that serve to glue the extracellular faces of myelin lamellae in tight apposition; transient expression may control the spiral wrapping of the myelin sheath around an axon.
