MSH: A species of gram-negative bacteria found in the human genitourinary tract (UROGENITAL SYSTEM), oropharynx, and anal canal. Serovars 1, 3, 6, and 14 have been reclassed into a separate species UREAPLASMA parvum.,NCI: A species of irregularly shaped bacteria that does not contain a cell well in the phylum Tenericutes. This species is urease and acid phosphatase positive and hexokinase and catalase negative; sterols are required for growth. U. urealyticum resides in the genital flora of humans and may be a cause of urogenital infections.,NCI: Any bacterial organism that can be assigned to the species Ureaplasma urealyticum.
