MSH: A member of the CXC chemokine family that plays a role in the regulation of the acute inflammatory response. It is secreted by variety of cell types and induces CHEMOTAXIS of NEUTROPHILS and other inflammatory cells.,CSP: basic, heparin-binding, proinflammatory cytokine produced by monocytes, vascular endothelium, and other cell types; acts on neutrophils as a chemoattractant, activator, and modulator of endothelial adhesion and transmigration.,NCI: A member of the CXC chemokine family. This chemokine is one of the major mediators of the inflammatory response. This chemokine is secreted by several cell types including monocytes, macrophages, T-lymphocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, and keratinocytes. It functions as a chemoattractant, and is also a potent angiogenic factor. (from LocusLink)
