MSH: Process of classifying cells of the immune system based on structural and functional differences. The process is commonly used to analyze and sort T-lymphocytes into subsets based on CD antigens by the technique of flow cytometry.,NCI: A process used to identify cells, based on the types of antigens or markers on the surface of the cell. This process is used to diagnose specific types of leukemia and lymphoma by comparing the cancer cells to normal cells of the immune system.,NCI: The characterization of a set of cells according to the antigens expressed.,CSP: immunochemical and immunohistological characteristics of a cell or a group of cells; also used as a technique to classify cells of the immune system based on structural and functional differences and to analyze and sort T-lymphocytes into subsets based on CD antigens using flow cytometry.
