NCI: Serum response factor (508 aa, ~52 kDa) is encoded by the human SRF gene. This protein is involved in the modulation of transcription, cell proliferation and cardiac morphogenesis.,MSH: A MADS domain-containing transcription factor that binds to the SERUM RESPONSE ELEMENT in the promoter-enhancer region of many genes. It is one of the four founder proteins that structurally define the superfamily of MADS DOMAIN PROTEINS.
