MSH: A member of the serpin family of proteins that is found in plasma and urine. It is dependent on heparin and is able to inhibit activated PROTEIN C; THROMBIN; KALLIKREIN; and other SERINE ENDOPEPTIDASES.,NCI: Plasma serine protease inhibitor (406 aa, ~46 kDa) is encoded by the human SERPINA5 gene. This protein is involved in the regulation of serine proteinases, spermatogenesis and fusion of sperm with the plasma membrane of an egg.
