MSH: Zinc-binding metalloproteases that are members of the type II integral membrane metalloproteases. They are expressed by GRANULOCYTES; MONOCYTES; and their precursors as well as by various non-hematopoietic cells. They release an N-terminal amino acid from a peptide, amide or arylamide.,NCI: Aminopeptidase N (967 aa, ~110 kDa) is encoded by the human ANPEP gene. This protein plays a role in the mediation both of peptide hydrolysis and infection by certain viruses.,NCI: An enzyme that is normally found in healthy kidneys. It may be found at high levels in the urine when there are kidney problems. It is used as a biomarker to detect damage to the kidneys caused by drugs and other agents. It may also be used to diagnose certain kidney and liver disorders.
