MSH: Specific proteins found in or on cells of progesterone target tissues that specifically combine with progesterone. The cytosol progesterone-receptor complex then associates with the nucleic acids to initiate protein synthesis. There are two kinds of progesterone receptors, A and B. Both are induced by estrogen and have short half-lives.,CSP: specific proteins found in or on cells of progesterone target tissues that specifically bind with progesterone.,NCI: A protein found inside the cells of the female reproductive tissue, some other types of tissue, and some cancer cells. The hormone progesterone will bind to the receptors inside the cells and may cause the cells to grow.,NCI: Progesterone receptor (933 aa, ~99 kDa) is encoded by the human PGR gene. This protein is involved in the regulation of transcription.
