MSH: IMMUNOGLOBULINS on the surface of B-LYMPHOCYTES. Their MESSENGER RNA contains an EXON with a membrane spanning sequence, producing immunoglobulins in the form of type I transmembrane proteins as opposed to secreted immunoglobulins (ANTIBODIES) which do not contain the membrane spanning segment.,CSP: membrane bound version of the specific antibody immunoglobulins produced by B lymphocytes; when BCR is occupied by antigen and the B cell is stimulated with interleukin 2, the B cell becomes activated to produce antibodies.,NCI: Immunoglobulin containing a transmembrane region and expressed on the plasma membrane of a B cell. Contrast with secreted Ig which has no transmembrane region but which can still be bound to the cell surface via Fc receptors.
