MSH: A form of necrotizing non-granulomatous inflammation occurring primarily in medium-sized ARTERIES, often with microaneurysms. It is characterized by muscle, joint, and abdominal pain resulting from arterial infarction and scarring in affected organs. Polyarteritis nodosa with lung involvement is called CHURG-STRAUSS SYNDROME.,CSP: form of necrotizing vasculitis involving small- and medium-sized arteries; signs and symptoms result from infarction and scarring of the affected organ system.,NCI: An autoimmune necrotizing inflammatory vasculitis that affects small and medium size arteries. It manifests with fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, weakness, skin rash, joint pain, numbness, burning sensation and renal failure.
