MSH: An organelle consisting of three components: (1) the astral microtubules, which form around each centrosome and extend to the periphery; (2) the polar microtubules which extend from one spindle pole to the equator; and (3) the kinetochore microtubules, which connect the centromeres of the various chromosomes to either centrosome.,GO: A spindle that forms as part of mitosis. Mitotic and meiotic spindles contain distinctive complements of proteins associated with microtubules. [GOC:mah, GOC:vw, PMID:11408572, PMID:18367542, PMID:8027178],CSP: microtubule-based structure present during mitosis to which chromosomes attach and are separated toward opposite poles of the dividing cell.
