CSP: produces malignant lymphomata in marmosets and owl monkeys with lymphocytosis and reticular cell invasion of the viscera.,NCI: A virus in the family herpesviridae and the type species of rhadinovirus. It is an enveloped virus with a genome consisting of a single segment of double-stranded DNA that is approximately 112kb in length. It normally infects squirrel monkeys, where it creates a persistent infection.,MSH: The type species of RHADINOVIRUS, in the subfamily GAMMAHERPESVIRINAE, isolated from squirrel monkeys. It produces malignant lymphomas (LYMPHOMA, MALIGNANT) in inoculated marmosets or owl monkeys.
