MSH: Test for tissue antigen using either a direct method, by conjugation of antibody with fluorescent dye (FLUORESCENT ANTIBODY TECHNIQUE, DIRECT) or an indirect method, by formation of antigen-antibody complex which is then labeled with fluorescein-conjugated anti-immunoglobulin antibody (FLUORESCENT ANTIBODY TECHNIQUE, INDIRECT). The tissue is then examined by fluorescence microscopy.,CSP: any immunohistochemical method using antibody labeled with a fluorescent dye and frequently examined by fluorescence microscopy.,NCI: An immunological procedure in which the antibodies are coupled with molecules which fluoresce under ultra violet (UV) light. This makes them particularly suitable for detection of specific antigens in tissues or on cells.,NCI: A bioassay in which fluorescent-coupled antibodies or antigens are used to quantify or qualify a biological response to a stimulus.
