pubmed-article:7570593 | pubmed:abstractText | Chromosome assignments for the genes encoding human renal high affinity Na/phosphate co-transporters NaPi-3 and NPT-1 were derived by analyzing somatic cell hybrid DNAs. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), using primers specific for two human Na/Pi co-transporters demonstrated that the genes for NaPi-3 was assigned to human chromosome 5 while that for NPT-1 was assigned to human chromosome 6. Renal phosphate transporter genes may be candidates for causing hereditary hypophosphatemia with hypercalciuria in humans. | lld:pubmed |
