pubmed-article:7315886 | pubmed:abstractText | Interviews were conducted with 44 moderately and mildly retarded adults about their leisure activities. Comparisons were made between these adults and nonretarded adults from the general population (Katz & Gurevitz, 1976) who were matched for age and amount of schooling completed. Results showed that the retarded adults went out in the evenings and engaged in social visiting significantly less frequently than did the general population. The two groups did not differ significantly with regard to participation in a variety of daytime activities, such as sports and excursions, or in a variety of home activities. | lld:pubmed |
