As a first step in evaluating the process of flow through different surgical anastomoses, the flow rate of 125I through three different types of anastomoses in the intestines of dogs was determined. When the results were compared, the flow rate through the stapler anastomosis was significantly higher than the flow rate through the standard and Gambee anastomoses.lld:pubmed
