Accidental ingestions of oral penicillins occur commonly, and are usually considered completely nontoxic. Based on this case, however, the possibility of adverse effects following large oral doses of penicillin-type antibiotics, mediated by allergic hypersensitivity or direct toxicity, should be considered. | lld:pubmed |
