pubmed-article:3700998 | pubmed:abstractText | A prospective study was carried out on infertility of the couple in Kinshasa by analysing the male component as derived from 278 sperm counts carried out on 95 patients. In 36.8% of couples the man was responsible. The mean age was 32.42 years of age +/- 4.89 (Standard Deviation). Previous gonorrhoea was responsible for this state of affairs in 47.3% of cases. The physical examination was marked by a large percentage of abnormal testes (36.8%) and of varicoceles in 18.9% of cases.
