It was found that octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside greatly stimulated the synthesis and inhibited the degradation of phosphatidylglycerophosphate. The phenomenon could be used for the preparation of phosphatidylglycerophosphate from CDPdiacylglycerol and the sn-glycero-3-phosphate with the crude membrane enzyme preparation. The optimal concentration of octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside to be used for such a purpose was 24.5 mM. | lld:pubmed |
