pubmed-article:2232499 | pubmed:abstractText | Knowledge of the existence of a tubuloglomerular feedback system has been available for many years. Only recently, however, have tenable hypotheses and supporting experimental data become available which have served to provide details regarding the complex inner workings of this system. The facility for examining this integrated physiologic network has derived, in large part, from the routine ability to perform in vivo micropuncture. We anticipate that further advances in this field will hinge on the development of additional experimental techniques to allow cellular biologic aspects of the system to be closely monitored in situ. | lld:pubmed |
