| pubmed-article:21557638 | pubmed:abstractText | The major human antigen-presenting cells (APCs) include monocytes/macrophages, myeloid dendritic cells (mDC), plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDC), and B cells. These APC subsets have been observed in ovarian tumor environments. Their phenotypes and functionalities are subjected to alteration by multiple factors in the tumor environment. In this review, we summarize the nature, cellular interactions, and prognostic significance of the main APC populations in ovarian cancer, and discuss the relevance of manipulating APC subsets for patient treatment. | lld:pubmed |
