The increasing aging population has highlighted the need to deliver post-acute care and to assess its appropriateness. The "PRUO rehab" (Protocollo di Revisione dell'Utilizzo dell'Ospedale riabilitativo) protocol was realized and validated to assess the appropriateness of use of rehabilitation units.
